July 9, 2015

Your site can probably do more to serve journalists, bloggers, reporters, and promoters. An often-overlooked page for smaller- and medium-sized websites is a Press or Media page. Why not make it easier for people to write about your products, people, company, or services?

I’ve written a new Playbook article about Press & Media pages, covering the following:

  • Typical audience
  • Recommended information to include
  • Linking to the Press page
  • Examples of effective Press & Media pages

2015’s best Press and Media page examples

This popular provider of small business accounting/invoicing software does a nice job of highlighting sample media quotes, awards and high-profile media mentions, contact information, and recent media releases.

Coca-cola’s Press Center offers a wealth of stories, press releases, media, and company statements. They also include a sign-up for press-related news via an email newsletter.

Source code control software company GitHub does a nice job of highlighting basic usage stats, awards, press coverage, and provides a menu of other tools and information for the press in the local navigation menu.
